Begin Again!

Last year I participated in a daunting endeavor… it was for me, anyway. I was to take a picture every day for a year. To my amazement and with a strong sense of fulfillment, I finished it.

It’s found here: .: 365 Days of Shaniblue :.

My goals for taking on this project, I believe were met. I developed initiative as a photographer and the discipline to appreciate something where my first look saw nothing.

I’m also a little bit happy with the skills I developed along the way.

I’m starting my new photography project, once again, on my terms.

I decided to make my birthday the first day.

Like last year, the project will run for 365 days, but I will more than likely post once or twice a week with a collage of sorts made from that week’s images. Or not. It’s up to me.

This year will bring big changes for myself and my family, both personally, creatively, and (I pray) professionally for me, as a photographer.

We’re expecting a graduation, a move, a new career for a couple of us, new schools, new church community, the end of homeschooling, and everyone will grow and change, as we all do every year. I’m also far along in this life to be aware of all the things that insert themselves into our days without our permission. I pray that we will continue to see God’s grace in those times, as well.

I’m so full of excitement for my 44th year, I just need to record these days.

What’s out there for us?
